Rental

General Terms
Driving license: The driver of the car must have a valid driving licence issued by the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom & United Kingdom.

Driving licences from other coFDFDFDFDuntries must be accompanied by an International Driving Permit.

Driver requirements: The driver must have a driving licence of the corresponding category to the vehicle he/she is renting, dated at least one year before the start of the rental and must be at least 25 years of age. The maximum age limit is 70 years.
Additional Driver: The agreed rental cost is for one driver, unless otherwise agreed and covered by the agreement between the parties.
Guarantee/Deposit: The guarantee is covered exclusively with the use of a credit or debit card, even if the rent is paid in cash. The estimated amount of the rental according to the duration and rental coverages, plus an additional amount of 650€, is committed to the customer’s Credit/Debit Card at the beginning of the rental. This amount is blocked for the duration of the rental period and may remain blocked up to 3 weeks afterwards, depending on the card issuing bank. Digicar is not responsible for any other costs, banking or otherwise, associated with this process.
Payment methods: Accepted cards are MasterCard and Visa.
Traffic Violations: Fines and any other consequences of traffic violations are the full and exclusive responsibility of the lessee of the car. In addition to these costs, there is an administrative charge of 30€ per offence.
Taxes

Airport tax: Rentals that have an airport as their starting point have a 9% surcharge on the base rental price.
Municipal Tax: If the rental station is subject to municipal tax, there is a surcharge of 0.5% on the rental price. 

Deliveries/pick-ups outside the Digicar station: Deliveries/pick-ups outside the station are subject to an additional charge of 0.90€ per km plus VAT, with a minimum charge of 25€ and upon request. Digicar reserves the right not to provide this service if deemed necessary by Digicar.
Deliveries outside working hours: The charge for the delivery or collection of a vehicle outside the working hours of the station is 25€ plus VAT, upon request. Digicar reserves the right not to provide this service if deemed necessary by Digicar.
One Way: Returning the car to a station other than the one where the rental started is charged at €0.90 per kilometer, plus VAT. The minimum charge for the One-Way service is €25 plus VAT.
Grace Period: One rental day is calculated as 24 hours and 45 minutes. If the rental exceeds this period, then an additional rental day will be charged.
Late Return Charge: All customers must inform Digicar of any extension to the rental to avoid the Late Return Charge. If the vehicle is returned more than 3 hours late, there will be a Late Return Charge at a cost of 20€, plus VAT, for each day or part thereof, in addition to the cost of the extra rental day.
In case of non-cancellation of the reservation before the agreed date and time and if the renter fails to pick up the vehicle within the next 24 hours, a non-cancellation fee of 50€ will be applied. This amount is subject to VAT or Council Tax, if applicable.
Insurance cover
All vehicles are insured with statutory third-party cover. The price of this basic insurance is included in the rental price. Insurance coverages not included in the rental fee and therefore are charged extra are:
Full insurance/CDW: For this coverage there is an additional daily charge on the rental fee. It can be used for tenant’s liability cases and if the damage:

Was not caused by intent or negligence

Was not caused by acts of terrorism 

Did not result from a breach of the terms of the contract

The driver was not under the influence of alcohol or other substances at the time of the incident

The damage is not to the underside of the car, wheels or tires or to the top of the vehicle, roof and mirrors.

The incident is not caused in parking, ground or caravan areas

The cost for this insurance varies and it is calculated daily in the rental fee.

There is an exemption amount for this cover beyond which the user is not charged.

In any case, the user shall cover the full cost of the damage and shall be reimbursed the amount of the insurance cover less the amount of the agreed exemption when the insurance company issues the compensation.

Theft cover: Covers the client for total and partial loss of the car. However, he will still have to pay the theft liability amount, which may be up to €2,500.
